Privacy note

What we collect, and why.

Email list. If you join the chapter mailing list, the chapter collects your email address to send event invitations, speaker announcements, and chapter news. The list is run through Constant Contact, which processes list email on the chapter's behalf, including subscribe and unsubscribe handling. You can unsubscribe from any list email, or ask the chapter to remove you, at any time.

Contact form. The contact form on this site does not send or store a message on the website. It opens your own email app with a composed message, and the message is delivered only when you send it from your email app, to the chapter lane you selected. The chapter receives the name, email address, subject, and message you include.

Lane messages. Most lanes on the contact page deliver directly to the officer who owns that lane, and those messages are read by that officer or, for scholarships, by the scholarship committee. Sponsorship inquiries are the exception: they are received by the chapter president, Patrick Glass, and passed to Ray DeMeo, who leads sponsorships. Membership and general messages go to chapter intake. Lane messages are shared inside the chapter only as needed to answer or act on them.

Retention and corrections. The chapter keeps list and message records while they are needed for chapter business. To be removed from the mailing list, or to correct information the chapter holds about you, write the chapter through the General lane on the contact page and say what you want changed.

Other services. Links on this site lead to services run by others, including AFCEA International, Eventbrite, LinkedIn, and chapter partners. Their privacy practices are their own. Every page on this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Event cards link out to Google Maps only when you click a map link; this site does not load Google Maps itself.
